Looking put together at home and wfh

Okay so I’ve never really paid too much attention to how I present myself when I’m at home. Think old scruffy clothing, no makeup etc and my hair has never really been easy to style in any way (think straight, fine and floppy).

I usually make more effort when I go to the office once a week and on an occasional date night but that’s about it.

BUT it has occurred to me that that’s how my boyfriend sees me on a regular and I want to look a bit more presentable for him.

Mind you I’m not a total slop, I do shower everyday and wash my hair every two days. Brush my teeth and wash my face in the morning too so it’s about the additional bits to make me look a bit more presentable I guess.

I am a bit hesitant to be buying new clothing specifically for wearing at home though, I don’t like the thought of letting my clothes go to landfill as I care about the environment so for that reason Shen in and other brands like that are a no go. What do I do with the scruffy clothing if I buy new alternatives? Can’t really sell them and giving them to the charity shop would be just rude.

Any tips on how to make myself more presentable and put together when at home given the above points?
