False Spring and the Return of Linen

| First taste of spring weather means dropping the heavy winter coats. The goal today was soft, Velasca-inspired tailoring/combo that is intentional but completely relaxed. The pleated trousers and tucked shirt give the outfit a clean foundation, while the open linen collar and rolled sleeves kill any stiff vibes that might intrude on the ‘sprezz’. I kept the colors quiet (browns, taupe, charcoal) and let the materials do the work. It’s a texture-first outfit: airy linen against the smooth drape of the trousers, topped with matte brown suede. The silhouette really pulls it together (as with most of my fits);the higher-rise trousers lengthen the leg, and the cropped jacket hits right at the waist to reinforce that line.
