Is it possible to visit the cockpit on these flights? (Turkish Airlines)
Hi everyone,
I have a few upcoming flights with Turkish Airlines and I’m wondering if there’s any realistic chance to visit the cockpit (before or after the flight), and if so, what the best approach would be.
My itinerary:
Kayseri → Istanbul (Airbus A320)
Istanbul → Madrid (Airbus A330-300)
Madrid → Istanbul (Airbus A330-300)
Istanbul → Kayseri (Airbus A320)
I understand cockpit visits depend on airline policy, crew workload, and regulations, especially post-9/11, but I’ve heard that sometimes pilots still allow visits if asked politely.
My questions:
Is it ever possible on Turkish Airlines flights to be invited to the cockpit?
If yes, which moment is best to ask (boarding, after landing, during boarding while waiting, etc.)?
Should I ask the cabin crew first, or directly try to speak to the pilots?
Does being calm, respectful, or mentioning interest in aviation help?
Are there any specific tips that increase the chances, or is it mostly not allowed at all?
I’m genuinely interested in aviation and would really appreciate any advice or real experiences.
Thanks in advance!
