Facebook’s Comments in the Photography Community?

I am wondering if anyone noticed that the comments on Facebook photography groups have become quite mean. I posted a photo asking for help editing advice and was told my photos are terrible by multiple people (I am ok with critics but it was pretty mean). I also noticed these comments on other peoples posts. They usually go along the lines of calling the person amateur and that they should give up perusing photography.
