Trip to Warsaw last week

I was in Warsaw from April 5th until April 9th, not my first time in Poland but in Warsaw.

And I must say, I can almost only tell positive things.

The city is very pretty, the Palace over culture and science (image 3) is simply stunning.

You can access the viewing platform on the 31st floor via an elevator and have a view over the city.

Warsaw is very walkable, and even for places a bit outside, the system of Metro and Bus is wonderful.

It’s not expensive, very frequent and anything was on time.

The city is very clean and you hardly find any litter on the street.

We visited two museums.

The museum of the Warsaw uprising, which was very interesting but a bit confusing in it’s making, and the National Museum of Poland, which is an art museum with artworks from various years. Almost every museum has a day where it has free entry, so it’s worth to have a look into that if you plan a visit.

The food was amazing. We especially loved Zapiekanka. It’s like a warm sandwich with the topping you like that you get as a typical street food here.

The place we bought it from made it freshly and it just tasted awesome (so good in fact that I even wrote a 5 star review on Google).

Also you get Pierogi all over the city.

I can just say two negative points in total, both of which the city isn’t really to blame.

We were a bit unlucky with the weather, as heavy wind made the temperatures feel like around freezing point even in April.

And our booked room was unbelievable dirty, even with mold in the showers and so on. Can’t recommend this one, but we were overall pretty happy with our days in Warsaw.
