what skincare (serums & ingredients) are people using these days?
I got into skincare when I was in my early 20s, maybe ~5 years ago, and have had a pretty consistent routine over that time with some or all of the following ingredients (obviously not all at the same time):
- hyaluronic acid
- niacinamide
- vitamin c
- SPF (obviously!)
- glycolic acid
- lactic acid
- azelaic acid
- salicylic acid
- retinol/retinal
Obviously when I stated out I did a lot of research and eventually settled on a routine with the above but now I see so many different products (eg just by The Ordinary) whose names/ingredients I don’t recognise! eg PDRN, volufiline
As the title says, are there any big players now that are really useful, effective, popular? That I ought to look into?
I fear I’ve missed out on developments in the skincare world and now may be missing some things that would be good to introduce (or replace any of the above)!
