Losing my war with the rodents

Can anyone give me some advice to help deal with my rodent problem? I have 16 chickens with a dirt floor coop, and the mice are getting in their food and water. I have plans of building a new coop and run for my chickens in an different area with hopefully a concrete pad under, because today my foot caved into a nest in the coop and I had a dozen mice run up my leg. I go through about 45lbs of feed a week with 12 chickens right now (I have 4 chicks that have not yet joined the flock). I cannot put rat poison down or normal mouse traps because my chickens will get into them, does anyone have any advice how to fight the rodents or are there any waterer's or feeders that are rodent proof? Again I have plans to move the coop in the next couple months or years, but I can't afford to be going through feed/water this fast.
